Joy represents the unity of water and doves that exemplify peace. The embroidery was hand-sewn incorporating community, conversation, and intimacy among those sewing. The elevated lines represent women on the rise, while the interactive fringe translates the movement women can create. Swarovski crystals are also used as fringe to encourage movement and joy while wearing.
